This establishment (previously called the Sree Krishna) is an old faithful, having been serving capable Keralan food for over twenty years. The room is fairly small, but with photos of palm-fringed beach scenes blown up and paste on the walls in the form of murals. It is best to stick to the South Indian specialities here: for example the utthapam (a sort of Indian pizza) is excellent, as is the Mysore bhonda (lentil balls) and dosas. There is also a wide selection of curry house fare, of which methi chicken is capable but the fish dishes have proved disappointing. Vegetable dishes veer between very good and poor, though the paratha bread is excellent. |
