Tucked away in a rather quiet area of town, Ramiro serves shellfish to a local crowd. The shellfish are faultlessly fresh, plucked from tanks when you order them. The dining room is simplly decorated and crowded, with an informal atmosphere. The was a queue waiting when we ate, though you can make reservations, and the dishes come at quite a pace. I had excellent crab straight from the fish tank (3/10). Stella had prawns cooked in garlic, and these were simple and tasty. There is little to accompany the shellfish - just rounds of buttered brown bread. Lingering is not encouraged, though service was certainly friendly, if pressurised.
The food here seemed to me good value. |
