There are two branches of this Japanese restaurant in Boston. Tempura of scallops and also of prawns was pleasant but had tempura batter that was good rather than the gossamer light version that you encounter in Japan (13/20). Sushi is what they are best known for, and this was capable: I found the bluefin tuna a little lacking in flavour, but uni (sea urchin) was good (14/20). The rice of an eel sushi roll was good but the eel itself did not have particularly inspired flavour (12/20). My sushi chef was in fact Korean rather than Japanese, but his knife-work appeared skilful.

Incidentals were good e.g. authentic miso soup and some nice fried dumplings (13/20). Presentation was excellent and service very good indeed. However for me this is still a notch below the better Japanese restaurants in London (e.g. Umu or Zuma) let alone being comparable with a good place in Japan.
