This is the casual all day restaurant of the Leela Palace hotel. It has a vast breakfast buffet, offering everything from eggs and bacon, fruit and cereals, on to Indian breakfast dishes to Chinese dishes to pastries and cheese, along with various freshly squeezed fruit juices. The masala dosa here was very good, with a thin crisp pancake containing a gently spiced potato filling. The sambar (South Indian lentil stew) on the side was good too, as were the assorted chutneys served alongside (13/20).

The lunch buffet was priced at 2950 rupees i.e. £24.30 each. You can also order a la carte from a similarly vast selection of dishes of many different cuisines, from Indian to Thai, from Chinese to European. There is a proper pizza oven in the restaurant, and so out of curiosity I tried one for lunch. A chicken tikka pizza had a thin, supple base and generous toppings of red onions, jalapeño peppers and pieces of chicken tikka. It was actually very capable (13/20).

The bill for two for lunch was 4,956 rupees (£40) so £20 per person. Service was fine if a little slow at times. Overall Citrus is altogether better than you might expect a casual hotel restaurant to be. I had breakfast here each day for a week as well as a lunch or two, and it served consistently well-made food.
