From Chelsea to East Sheen

Three Darlings is part of the extensive Jason Atherton restaurant empire. Set in Chelsea, this has a vaguely Mediterranean influenced menu and a new chef. We had a very enjoyable meal. With the star dish being a simple canape of anchovies and tomatoes, which stood out due to the fabulous Vesuvius tomatoes used (supplied by a sister Atherton restaurant on the Amalfi coast). John Dory with bouillabaisse was another very good dish.

Black Salt, though no longer part of the Dastaan restaurant family, is still serving the same recipes as it always has, and is still executing them well. Dishes such as the bhajias are still crisp and excellent, and chicken biryani was very good at this visit. This is a very good value restaurant that somehow sails under the radar. The residents of East Sheen are lucky to have this little gem.
