Les Morainieres is the latest 3-star Michelin restaurant in France. It is on a hillside looking out over vineyards in Savoie, so has a fine view (pictured). The staff were charming and the wine list was very fairly priced. The food itself was good, though a long way off 3-star level as far as I am concerned. However the pricing was not excessive and the overall experience was very enjoybale.

The Dysart near Richmond is one of the best restaurants in London, much better than its one-star Michelin rating. The quality of ingredients here is high and the sauces are superb, reflecting the considerable skills of Roux Scholar chef Ken Culhane. Turbot with sauce Jacqueline was a particular highlight at the latest meal, as was a glorious pigeon dish, but the standard of the food here is very high.
